Conservative Evangelicals Continue To Take Their Worldview Cues From Atheists Without Ever Realizing It

It’s nothing new that conservative Christians are being hoodwinked into voting against their interests from a moral perspective.  It’s a dynamic that started in the late seventies and early eighties in the Reagan years, having a genesis with political activists like Paul Weyrich; with the world view of protecting school segregation under the cloak of the ‘pro-life’ movement. The Heritage Foundation’s Project 2025 claims to be a ‘Christian world view’ manifesto about how government and society in general should be managed.  More specifically and ironically it’s claims are that there should really be no government.  Or at least any democratically structured government.  One where everyone has a say in how their interests and rights are expressed.

Looking at how the guard rails of protection for citizens and consumers is being dismantled it appears a few tech weirdos have gotten what they’ve wanted. Self admitted atheist, software developer and freak show blogger, Curtis Yarvin wrote blog posts in the Obama era about America needing a CEO who makes all the calls without any checks and balances.   About how society should be a hard lesson in the Darwinian trope of ‘survival of the fittest.’ Of how the spoils should always go to the most wealthy and connected ‘victors.’  He produced these fantasies through a pen name, Mencius Moldbug. Reading through the pages of Project 2025 astute readers can make the connections.  Conservative Christian reader, notice the first description I provided in my introduction on Yarvin.  That being the term Atheist.  And it is not just the way pundits have described his inhuman “dark enlightenment” views. It’s how he fills out those pesky forms we all have to complete from time to time when he’s asked to discuss his religious perspectives for census information. Atheistic is what he describes himself and as an extension his ideas to be.

Christian reader, in other words, some of those legislative ‘goodies’  ‘Christian based’ think tanks like The Heritage Foundation have pushed for have taken their anti humane views from secular and atheistic perspectives. Sure Yarvin is the classic ‘nerd’ cliche with grievances toward humanity in general for getting stuffed in lockers by athletes during his high school years. He’s no different than Elon Musk, Peter Thiel, J.D. Vance or any other anti egalitarian Silicon Valley social pariah.  The problem though, is that people have listened.  They’ve listened to the point where they think his opinions are valid.  Valid to the point that they are becoming laws.  Laws that are starting to affect our daily lives.   But then again there is nothing to worry about.  ‘God controls the weather,’ as some like to say.  I’m sure He’ll control political legislation also.  Only now He’s too busy grieving over gullible factions of Christians who have been co opted by secular expression……..Again!
