You’d think people would complain about Cracker Barrel because they try to hold them hostage with their gift shop (which they do me with all of their ‘sweet tooth’ offerings). Or by subjecting them to highly sugared and processed foods that cause all sorts of health problems. Or with their delicious yet fattening foods which are mostly fried, fattening and artery clogging, full of preservatives. Or with the long lines to the check out counter which at times are not the fault of the restaurant save for its popularity. Too bad more Americans don’t get as flustered over schools being shot up by shooters, climate change affecting our finances and health, housing becoming too expensive in swaths of America or healthcare going out to the highest bidder instead of being a universal right.
As everyone knows by now the franchise has changed it’s logo slightly and everyone is noticing. Even POTUS. People aren’t happy. Go on social media…………..if you can stand it……..to witness another example of America showing just how gullible she is. It’s what billionaires who own all of these news outlets love for people to get stirred up about. It’s what billionaires who fund other billionaires in office love for voters to notice. It’s what the ultra rich love people to fixate on as they fund politicians to rig legislations to help them to not pay the taxes they owe, or to continue to pollute or commit manslaughter by withholding insurance claims. It’s all about staying unaccountable and stealing every bit of the American dream from others because of pathological selfishness. It’s about them doing so time and time again using the ‘smoke and mirrors’ of culture war diversion. I can stand long lines at Cracker Barrel. I can even stand them changing their logo. I can’t stand a damn thing about long lines at doctor’s offices or hospitals because of all of the paper work one has to file with their insurers who may not even cover the cost. Too bad there are still citizens out there who fall for the circus every time it comes to town with one other culture war issue. It’s just another incident that should be meaningless yet shows there is a dividing line between the weak and gullible vs. the strong and discerning. Just another dynamic that will harm the physical health of Americans in the long run. Even more than a plate of scrambled eggs, buttermilk biscuits and a shop full of old timey sugary sodas.
